MANILA, Philippines — The Quezon Tangerines treated their home crowd by winning their first-ever 2024 Maharlika Pilipinas Volleyball Association (MPVA) championship after sweeping Biñan Tatak Gel 1-Pacman Partylist on Wednesday night at Quezon Convention Center in Lucena.
The Tangerines made sure to get the job done at home after asserting their mastery of the visiting Volley Angels, 25-19, 24-26, 25-18, 25-15.

Quezon withstood the tough challenge of Biñan in Game 1, escaping with a 25-19, 23-25, 25-18, 21-25, 17-15 win in five sets on Monday at Alonte Sports Arena in Laguna, where Densing erupted for 22 points,
Article continues after this advertisementMary Grace Borromeo powered the Tangerines with 18 points, while Game 1 hero Cristy Ondangan and former NCAA MVP Mycah Go added 16 points each to back up Densing.
Article continues after this advertisementMPVA Best Setter Chenae Basarte quarterbacked that potent offense with Densing also earning the Best Opposite Hitter and Ondangan winning the First Best Middle Blocker awards for Quezon.

Second Best Middle Blocker Zenith Perolino also had 10 points for Biñan.

Biñan’s May Ann Nuique won the Best Homegrown Player awardwalo88 gaming, joining the season awardees Jonah Denise Dolorito (Second Best Outside Hitter) and Angelica Blue Guzman (Best Libero) of Rizal.
