MANILA, Philippines — The number of reported deaths due to the combined effects of Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (international name: Trami) and Super Typhoon Leon (international name: Kong-rey) is now at 150, the latest the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) data revealed.

Similar to the data released on October 30, NDRRMC said only 14 of 150 deaths were validated as of Thursday. It added that 115 were injured and 19 were missing.

The agency also reported that the tally of individuals affected by Kristine and Leon is now at 7,494,023 — or 1,892,226 families.

Of the affected, 760,132 were displaced, 330,469 were inside evacuation centers, and 429,483 were taken shelter elsewhere.

Kristine and Leon also caused flooding in 827 areas nationwide — in Region 1 (Ilocos), Region 2 (Cagayan Valley), Region 3 (Central Luzon), Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Region 5 (Bicol), Region 6 (Western Visayas), Region 8 (Eastern Visayas), Region 9 (Zamboanga Peninsula), Region 12 (Soccsksargen), Caraga, Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, and Metro Manila.

The number of damaged houses likewise rose to 150,511, which amounts to over P3.4 million.

To aid affected residents, the government has distributed over P700 million worth of assistance nationwide.
